9-Week Club Programme
Goal : Students will collaboratively build a 3D Solar System model to learn about planets, orbits, and the structure of our Solar System
Week Focus & Activity:
1. Introduction & Design the Solar System, and sketch the model layout.
2. Building the Sun: Create and paint the Sun using foam
3. Inner Planets: Build, paint, label, and position Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars.
4. Outer Planets: Build and place Jupiter, Saturn (with rings), Uranus, and Neptune.
5. Asteroid Belt & Minor Bodies: Add the Asteroid Belt and any minor planets or dwarf planets.
6.Kuiper Belt & Oort Cloud: Add Kuiper Belt objects and Oort Cloud features using glitter or cotton.
7. Orbits & Support Structure: Finalise orbit paths and mount planets on supports with correct spacing.
8. Finishing Touches & Details: Add labels, fun facts, and polish the model with any special effects.
9. Exhibition & Presentation.
